The Wheeling Park High School wrestling team has had a busy season on the mats so far, and they are amping up their practices as they set their sights on states.
Head Coach Daniel Doyle was pleased with the wrestling team’s performance at OVACs.
“The season has been going well. We had a slow start to begin the season due to injuries, but we will finally be full strength once the state tournament hits,” said Doyle.
They placed 6th overall out of 42 teams. And the top rank competitors were:
Jack Lowe – 3rd
Nate Hodge – 4th
Isaac Sands – 2nd
Noah White – 4th
Jameson Maynard -1st
Malaki Washington – 6th
As the team now turns toward their state competition, Isaac Sands and the team have one common goal:
“To become a state champion, to go out there with a clear mindset–dominant. “
