A perfect life in the spring is where I want to be,
Because most of the year has been rain, snow and misery
Where, once, snow laid on barren trees
Recently, a red cardinal could be seen
The sun is beginning to be seen through the cloud ceiling,
And there he beams, smiling upon Wheeling!
Soon the cold walks will turn into sunny jogs,
And too, will the winter fog clear away for spring’s song
So rejoice in the fact that the cold days will soon cease,
So that the Equinox can bring you inner peace
While I sure know that in the shadow of winter, life can seem tough
It’s important to know that you are enough
Spring is a good time to reflect – not on if you’re getting fatter,
But to realise that your life does matter
So enjoy what the spring has to offer, and live in the moment – don’t think what is near
As the winter will soon come back again next year.
