Michael “Mike” J. Contraguerro is an entrepreneur, contractor, and father. Mike took on the family business at a young age, which ultimately transformed his life into what it is today. He owns The Flooring Center and works full-time, and is opening a second location in the coming years. Mike also partakes in contracting. He buys, flips, and sells homes, all whilst building his personal home in his spare time. Being an entrepreneur has shown Mike different aspects of life.

“Being an entrepreneur has completely transformed my life. It has given me the freedom to design my own path, turn ideas into reality, and build something meaningful from the ground up. Every venture is an expression of creativity, resilience, and purpose– and the journey of shaping my own destiny continues to inspire me every day,” said Mike.

Mike grew up always being a team player, which helped translate those skills into his businesses.

“Growing up playing sports and being part of a team gave me a foundation that extends far beyond the field. Those experiences taught me discipline, accountability, resilience, and how to work toward a common goal– skills that now guide me as a business owner. The lessons learned in competition and teamwork continue to show how I lead, build, and succeed every day,” said Mike.

Michael attended Marshall University and got his degree in Information Technology, which he applies to his everyday life.

“Earning a degree in information technology was the perfect addition to my skill set, equipping me with the tools to grow, manage, and scale a business in an increasingly digital world. It strengthened my ability to solve problems, streamline operations, and turn technology into a strategic advantage rather than a challenge,” said Mike.
