From early morning rehearsals to evening concerts, Mr. Mazure creates an environment where students not only learn musical techniques but also teamwork, creativity, and confidence. Whether he’s conducting the band through a powerful performance or helping choir students perfect their harmonies, his energy and enthusiasm never miss a beat.
Mr. Mazure has been teaching for two years, and his advice to a beginner singer is, “Sing as much as you can, listen to a lot of different music, sing a lot of different music. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes,” said Mr. Mazure.
When asked who inspired him to become a teacher, Mr. Mazure shared, “There’s a teacher that I had in middle school who’s also a music teacher. I liked what he did and how he changed my life so I wanted to do that for other kids.”
Outside the classroom, he enjoys bowling, going to the gym, and going to West Virginia State Parks, which fuels his creativity and love of the art.
Anthony Sikole, a senior saxophonist, one of Mr. Mazure’s private students said, “He’s a really good teacher… he breaks you down then builds you back up and helps along the way.”
Our school community is truly fortunate to have Mr. Mazure help lead out music programs alongside Mrs. Greenwood with such skill, heart, and humor. Thank you for making our school sound and feel harmonious!
