The school year ends today and this year has gone pretty quickly! Between many sports events, academic excellence, and the formal events, let’s look back at the 25-26 school year!

Tyra Hager-Smith, Staff Writer
Tyra Hager-Smith is a sophomore at Wheeling Park High School. She is a staff writer and this is her 2nd year in the Park Press. She did yearbook and newspaper at Triadelphia Middle School. She helped produce over 15 copies and helped with 3 yearbooks. She was Editor in Student Life, Student Section, and some Sport Sections.
When Tyra grows up, she wants to be a psychologist. When she graduates, she wants to go to WVU and earn her degree in psychology. Her love for the mind and how it functions has encouraged her to take Wheeling Park’s psychology class. Taking this class is helping her prepare for her journey in the future as a clinical psychologist. If this doesn’t work out, she would like to be a writer and go to WVU and earn her degree in journalism.
In her free time, she loves to hangout with her friends, go shopping and listen to music. Her all-time favorite quote is: “Be yourself and know that that’s good enough.”- Christopher Breaux aka, Frank Ocean
Sydney Rae, Staff Writer
Sydney Rae is a senior staff writer and first year member for The Park Press. She is an avid writer and story teller. Sydney won first place for the West Virginia Young Writers competition her sophomore year of high school. When she is not writing, Sydney can be found leading The Park Players (drama club) as president. Sydney has earned multitudes of leadership awards for theatre and enjoys spending her time, not only on stage, but writing scripts as well.
Sydney is a member of the National Honor Society, the International Thespian Society, and enjoys being a REAP councilor. In her free time, Sydney spends her late nights reading. She has a goal of reading 25 books this year and is soon going to surpass her goal. She plans to trudge toward a new goal of 30 books this year.
Jai´Lynn Phillips, Social Media Editor
JaiLynn is a junior at Wheeling Park High School. She is a first year social media editor for The Park Press She has been writing on The Park Press for two years.
She has been doing All Star Cheer for ICE for four years in Washington, PA. Her favorite things are hitting zero deductions at cheer competitions to the help of hitting zero thanks to her sweet coach for trying her hardest to make her teams dream big.
She loves writing things, her favorite thing to do with the newspaper is getting to know what’s going on around the school. She has been writing since the 7th grade from Warwood and she really enjoys it.
