There are many holiday traditions around the world. Here in Wheeling, we host the Festival of Lights, which brings in tourists on an annual pilgrimage to our hometown. At Park, Festival of Sound is a tradition for musicians and music lovers alike. For students and staff, those traditions are just as important as the ones they share with their loved ones at home. Check out the video to see many familiar faces sharing their cherished Christmas traditions!

Elliana McCabe, Copy Editor
Elliana McCabe is a junior at Wheeling Park High School and a Copy Editor for the Park Press. Elliana is a three-year member of the Press, as well as a three-year member of both the girls’ varsity swim and soccer teams. She is also a member of the American Cancer Society, the Women’s Empowerment Club, the Wheeling Park strings program, a freshman mentor, and a REAP counselor.
Outside of school, you’ll find Elliana at the gym, on the soccer fields as a referee, or at Wheeling Hospital as a volunteer. She is excited to be back writing for the 2025-2026 school year.
Lucrezia Santini, Staff Writer
Lucrezia Santini is a junior staff writer at Wheeling Park High School. She is a two-year member of the Park Press. She is heavily involved in her school, being part of the swim team, American Cancer Society, and Women Empowerment Club, freshman mentor, and a REAP counselor. Lucrezia is also a dedicated student, she was recognized as an AP scholar this summer.
Outside of school, Lucrezia is always keeping busy. She enjoys crocheting, going to the gym, and writing. You can always find her at the YMCA, lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons. You’ll also find her volunteering at Wheeling Hospital on the weekends.
Lucrezia is looking forward to writing a lot of articles during the next school year. She is planning on writing in her senior year as well.
