Every spring seniors turn into their elementary selves one last time for a little fun, and money. Senior Assassins is once again taking over senior classrooms with the drama of the game that took place the day before, or in some cases bright and early in the morning. There are several people who look over the game every year. The two main students overseeing the game this year are Cooper Abraham and Jerome Maynard Jr., with several others pitching in to help with rules and other items.
For those that may not know, senior assassins is a game where there are teams of two, and you have to get a team out by squirting one of the team members with a water gun.
“I feel like there are misconceptions about it, a lot of people think it’s just about money, and it’s about getting people out, it’s kind of a time

for us to break down and have fun and be kids a little bit before we graduate from high school,” said Maynard Jr.
This year there are 35 teams of two for 70 players participating. Every week there are new targets for every team still in. This year, like last
year as well, they are allowing a team to buy back after week one. It is a time for the seniors participating to have fun.
“It’s a good senior activity to end out the school year, I honestly think it keeps people going because they get to keep hearing whatever is happening,” said Madeline Bradshaw.
Because the senior class is so big, you sometimes might meet new people, and talk to people you normally wouldn’t.
“If you get your target, probably you’re going to talk about it…and you just meet new people,” said Abbie Hines.
Round three of assassins starts on Tuesday April 14th. With the goal of being done before the last day of school, it is sure to produce some exciting drama in the last couple months of the school year.
