Junior Stevie3x Williams (Stevie-three-times) is an up-and-coming rapper at Wheeling Park. His music is popular among the students, with his top hits being “Wheeling Feeling”  and “My Year.”  Stevie3x works along with his producer, Junior, Preston Heatherington (Prez on Spotify) to create music and music videos.

“I first started making music because I was bored and my friend Preston has a studio, and it just happened,” said Stevie3x.

The professional partnership has garnered attention across the Ohio Valley online but also plans to produce more live entertainment in the future.

“I became Stevie3x’s producer by listening to some of his freestyles and lunch, and saw that he had potential, but he wasn’t sure where to start, so I was like, ‘we are going to get into this, and I guarantee you’re going to succeed’,” said Prez.

Many students at Wheeling Park High School have a great personal interest in Stevie3x and his music career.

“I am a fan of Stevie3x’s music because it’s different, and since he’s local, it makes me feel more connected to the music because it’s about places that I’ve been before, and my favorite song has to be Wheeling Feeling,” said Lyla Litman.

His music appeals because of a shared common origin, but is also relatable on many different levels.

“Stevie3x is the best rapper, and his music is really relatable. My favorite song is his new one, ‘My Year’,” said Milton Harris.

Students across the building have been able to get into the production of music making and the art of music videos as well.

“It was fun being in the music video,” said Ossie Hudson.

Stevie3x is just at the beginning of his music endeavors but many great rappers start from humble beginnings like the 8-mile origins of Eminem or the Blue Slide Park prologue of Mac Miller. Stevie3x is getting his start right here in Wheeling.

“What I have to say to my fans is I appreciate them and anyone who shows love,” said Stevie3x.
