February is officially here, which means Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!
Valentine’s Day is a day full of showing love and affection to your significant other. It is also the perfect day to dress up and go on a date. If you need help trying to come up with the perfect outfit for the perfect date spot, I have come up with some ideas.

The first outfit I endorse is a light pink colored sweater with a mini jean skirt. Having a part of your outfit, whether it’s the top or simply a little accessory, pink on Valentine’s day is a must! Pink is one of the colors that symbolizes this special day. Mini skirts are also so stylish and have always been a trend. Since it is February, it’s important that you do dress according to the cold weather. Adding a coat or even a pair of knee socks can make this fit much warmer. You can also top off this fashionable piece with a hair accessory, such as a bow. I purchased the pink sweater in the picture from Shein, tank top from T.J. Maxx, skirt from Boscov’s in St. Clairsville, and the jewelry from Claire’s.

The second outfit I recommend is a velvet off the shoulder top with a pair of baggy jeans. This holiday is the PERFECT opportunity to pull off any shade of red. Burgundy is a traditional color, offering a sense of maturity. Wearing velvet is also another great way to stay warmer during this wintry season. Caroline Greathouse is a sophomore at Wheeling Park High School. She wore a cute pair of baggy jeans from Aeropostale. She decided to wear these jeans today because “I think they are really comfortable and like the way they look.” I purchased the black velvet top in the picture and baggy jeans at Boscov’s. You can add onto this outfit with a slick back ponytail, silver or gold jewelry and a classy pair of shoes/heels.

The third outfit I endorse is a red sweater with a jean skirt. Once again, you can never go wrong with a sweater on Valentine’s Day! Sweaters with puffy sleeves is such a cute trend and another perfect way to be so stylish. I also love the idea of pairing this sweater with a jean skirt, specifically black. For more warmth, you can add a pair of black tights or knee socks. Jenna Shaw is a junior at Wheeling Park High School and decided to wear a cute red sweater. She decided to wear this sweater because “I wanted to look festive for the Valentine’s Day season.” I purchased the sweater in the picture from Walmart, the skirt from Boscov’s, and jewelry from Shein. You can add onto this outfit by curling your hair, silver or gold jewelry and a nice pair of boots.
