The Robotics team is competing at Worlds in Dallas, Texas. They leave on April 24 and compete from the 25th through the 28th. The team has worked extremely hard to prepare leading up to the big competition.

“Right now the team is doing a lot of fundraising and they have been practicing every single day for almost two and a half hours. They are working on coding, rebuilding the robots, and practicing driving,” said Dr. Shepherd. “We have been spending our time during practice coding and running our different robots,” said robotics team member Kaylen Webb.

I have been on the team for four years now and one of the things that I knew I wanted to bring to Park was a robotics team. Robots are a huge undertaking because of the time that the students have to put in. We are trying to grow the program every day and we are trying to get exposure for more and more ideas,” stated Dr. Shepherd. “Robotics is a very fun sport, it is very competitive and we are trying our best every day.”
The robotics team here at WPHS is full of intelligent and creative students and we are extremely proud of what the team has accomplished.
