The Festival of Spring is on May 8th, in the PAC at 7:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased on the school website of GoFan.
“Yes, it’s my first spring concert. I feel pretty good. We’re working pretty hard on the songs, we’ll be ready,” said Mrs. Grube. Many students are excited to continue the tradition and play in it for the first time.
This year, the orchestra is playing newer Disney songs for the Festival of sounds. This is the 30th Anniversuary!
“I am excited to play the songs with the other classes and see how they come together,” said Reagan Pockl, a freshman at Park.
The band is playing “Superman Returns”. They will come in with the main intro of the Superman theme song. As the orchestra will be playing “Superman Returns” as well.
“The Festival of Spring is progressing well. We are bringing back a favorite from the recent past – Sogno di Volare, which in Italian means, “To shiver the sky.” Also we are bringing back a favorite of mine – “Until We Sing Again”. There will be some fresh, contemporary material, as well – Walking on Sunshine and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”. We also have a stunning arrangement of “Over the Rainbow” that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. The performance will include our usual tribute to our seniors in the music department. We only do this performance one time. It is a lot of work for one performance, but it is a “must see”. You won’t want to miss it,” Mrs. Jingle said.
Once again The Festival of Spring is one of the most important concerts for our seniors, espesually being the last concert of the year. Please come to the concert, make it the most memorable night for our seniors. They worked really hard for this last concert of their high school journey.
