The homecoming dance is on October 11th and will be held at Wheeling Park High school from 6-9 p.m.
As our kings and queens are excited for the homecoming dance and the homecoming Parade that will be held Thursday, October 9th in downtown Wheeling.
Student Council set Spirit Week themes which will run from October 6th through October 10th in school. Students are encouraged to dress-up and participate in school themes which are:
Monday- Home Sweet Home (Pj’s Day)
Tuesday- Home On The Range (Western)
Wednesday- Home field Advantage (Jerseys)
Thursday- Honey I’m Home (Soccer mom and BBQ dad)
Friday- No Place Like Home (Red, White and Blue)

The homecoming king candidates are: Cooper Abraham, Issac Aderholt, Tre Frye, Jed Hunley, Jerome Maynard Jr, Samuel Rocky, Reuben Rouse, Brennan Wack, Kolten Whitmire, and JD Williams.
“I’m extremely am grateful that I got to be the top 10 for homecoming court, this will always be something I will remember,” said Cooper Abraham.
Kings are crowned at the parade in front of friends and family.
“It’s a big achievement because I’m the first person in my family to get homecoming court, I’m so thankful for this opportunity,” said Reuben Rouse.
The homecoming queen candidates are: Anna Contraguerro, Caitlyn Anderson, Kaelin Castello, Madeline Bradshaw, Molly Brinker, Olivia Ellis, Taylin Holt, Victoria Canestraro, Ra’Myah Askerneese and lastly Samantha Ashmore.
“It was great, my freshman self would laugh at me that I’m here right now, its a crazy experience and I’m so thankful that everyone think I’m nice enough to get an opportunity,” said Ra’Myah Askerneese.
The senior class selects their candidates during developmental guidance to nominate their classmates.
“I’m feeling very grateful to be on homecoming court out of 175 girls it’s amazing that I got picked for the top 10, whether if your on homecoming court or not everyone still matters,” said Taylin Holt.
Homecoming is a huge event at the high school. Mrs. Dobrzynski handles particularly the dance and the spirit week while Mrs. Dailer handles the parade.
Being on homecoming court is a way to cap off their senior year they are looking forward to being in the parade.
