With Valentine’s Day coming up this means many people will be shopping for gifts, especially candy. With all the stores being stocked up with so many choices it’s hard to pick a favorite. Among stuffed animals and flowers, candy is a popular valentines tradition. According to Capital One Shopping over 57% of consumers buy candy for Valentine’s Day gifts. Among all the other gifts, candy is by far the most associated with the holiday. Now let’s see what the students at the park have to say.
“I like heart shaped chocolates because chocolate is the best,” said Emily Ross.
“I really like Hershey’s,” said Nathan Cha.
“The mini Twixes, they always have the pink packaging. It makes me happy,” said Reagan hughes.
“The heart Reeses are fire,” said Karma Hughes.
“The regular twix are my favorite,” said Aaron Chao.
Chocolate seems to be the most popular variation of candy. More than 36 million boxes are sold each year during Valentines day. However, sour candies seem to be a close runner up here at the park.
“I like the candy hearts, not the ones by sweetart. I like the generic ones,” said Sarah Seivertson.
“Conversation hearts are my favorite, I like the taste of them,” said Henleigh
“Skittles are my favorite Valentine’s Day candy,”said Alex Garcia.
As February 14th approaches many people will be hitting the stores. And no matter your tastebuds Perhaps you could buy that special someone a bag of Skittles or even some heart shaped Reeses. Either one would be awesome! Or maybe you could buy flowers or even a gift card. Which candy is your favorite?
