Park Profile: Ella Penhos

Stories featuring people in and around our community doing their ordinary but extraordinary things.
Park Profile: Ella Penhos

At first glance, Eleanore (Ella) Penhos looks like a typical 24 year old who has an ordinary day job, possibly even working in retail. But in actuality, she has one of the coolest jobs that a person could have. Laser Tattoo Removal and Fading. Pretty neat, right? Not only is it cool, but she is making a difference in so many people’s lives.

“It is such a reward being able to help anyone get a regret off their body, or even fading a tattoo they got when they were 16 that no longer aligns with who they are now, and being able to help them get it to the point where they can get a coverup if that is what they want. Seeing someone so happy that I was able to make a difference by removing a tattoo is so rewarding” said Penhos. Though making it this far in her career didn’t happen so easily and so suddenly.

Ella graduated from Wheeling Park High School in 2016, and made the decision that four years of college wasn’t for her. Finally, she realized she had a passion for skin and all things that come with it. So she decided to look into going to school to be an esthetician.

“I have always been into skincare, but more of the medical part to it” said Penhos. “After going through school I realized I wanted to go the medical route,” said Penhos. She then went to Penn Commercial Business/Technical School located in Washington, PA, and graduated within three to four months.

For Ella, school was a breeze. She picked up on things quickly due to her passion for it all. Growing up, Ella did well with hands-on work. And that’s exactly what this profession is, as well as the schooling. So it’s certainly no surprise that she’s so good at what she does, and enjoys it so much. “Every day we learned something new, and then we were able to try it on our classmates’ ‘ said Penhos.

Ella has a hard, yet fun career and is so inspiring. She is so fantastic at what she does, and is one of the most talented, hardworking, and kind-souled people. And everyone should know just how special she is. One thing for sure is that Ella is one of the most incredible people to exist.
