Dr. Daniel Joseph, Wheeling’s most loved Orthodontist, is a true superhero. And here’s why.
Growing up Dr. Daniel Joseph’s father was an Orthodontist. The majority of his adolescent years were spent helping his father in the office from middle school up until his father became terminally ill Joseph’s senior year in high school. Not long after, Joseph realized that having worked with his father growing up, orthodontics was the route in life he wanted to achieve.
After going through college majoring in biology, Joseph was fortunate enough to attend dental school in which he spent four years preparing to be a general dentist. Soon following he applied, and chose to attend a Residency Program at Washington University in St. Louis for two more years.
Once having completed several years of school and learning, Joseph and his wife started his practice here in Wheeling.
Though just because his schooling ended, doesn’t mean that’s all.
“Your education doesn’t end there, it starts there,” said Joseph. “For the last 44 years I’ve been spending my time learning as much as I can about what it is we do,” said Joseph.
One thing about Joseph, is that he cares one hundred percent, and truly about those in his life. Including his family, patients, friends, and staff at the practice.
“Family is more than just blood,” said Joseph.
If there is one person in the world who puts others before themself, it’s Dr. Daniel Joseph. He has the purest, most compassionate, and caring heart to ever exist.
When I asked Joseph what his passions and goals are, he went in depth about the care he has for his family, and those who play a part in his life.
“Number one is taking care of family,” said Joseph. “That is by far the most important thing,” said Joseph.
“Number two is taking care of my patients and the folks that work with me who are like family, and third thing is to take care of patients in the best way possible because that is sorta my next family that’s out there,” said Joseph. “And lastly is to take care of my profession as a whole in the best way I can,” said Joseph.
It’s incredible how you can walk into a room in which he’s in and immediately feel comfort and love. Knowing him is one of the greatest gifts I could ever have. I am beyond blessed to have him in my life as someone I call family, and to have grown up surrounded by the love he gives.
“Take care of others like you want to be taken care of,” said Joseph. “If everything you do in life is based around that, you can’t really mess up,” said Joseph.
While Dr. Daniel Joseph can give you a beautiful set of teeth, he can also change your life. He may just be seen as a traditional orthodontist, but he is so much more. He is, and forever will be, the most incredible man, and a true, real -life superhero that I have ever known and will know.
