Emily Calandrelli was the first woman from West Virginia and the one-hundredth woman to go to space in the world on November 22, 2024.
Calandrelli came up with the idea to send your hopes and dreams to the stars in a flash drive which raised over thirty-thousand dollars for the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia. Check out the Go Fund Me here.

“One day everyone will be able to travel to outer space and enjoy the view”, said Mr. Beltrondo, social studies teacher.
