As the seasons change, so does the menu at Starbucks, a moment that many coffee lovers eagerly anticipate. The transition from the rich, spicy flavors of autumn to the sweet, festive tastes of the holiday season marks a delightful journey through some of Starbucks’ most beloved beverages. But the question is, Which one is better?
As the weather gets colder, most people associate the start of fall when Starbucks releases its pumpkin menu.
“I prefer fall drinks because it really kicks off the fall season for me,” said Sergeant Andrea Gump.
The fall menu is most famous for its pumpkin spice latte (PSL), but it also offers amazing beverages such as the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, the Pumpkin Cream Chai, and the Apple Crisp Macchiato. In addition to these beverages, they also have two tasty bakery items that capture the comforting feeling of fall. These drinks feature warm spices and cinnamon toppings to really capture the warm, cozy comfort of Autumn.
“I love fall drinks because they have my favorite pumpkin chai,” said senior Amber Yanchack.
As the calendar flips to December, Starbucks introduces its Christmas lineup, bringing a new array of flavors to the menu. Its most famous drink is the Peppermint Mocha. Other Christmas drinks include the Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai, the caramel brulee latte, the Chesnut praline latte, and the Iced Sugar Cookie Latte. Along with these drinks, Starbucks offers five festive bakery items, including the famous Cranberry Bliss Bar. These drinks and snacks often feature festive toppings like caramelized sugar, praline crumbs, and sprinkles, adding an extra touch of holiday cheer.
“I personally prefer the Christmas drinks because the Peppermint Mocha is my favorite,” said Mrs Mathieu.
The Christmas drink menu entices even the most regimented Starbucks lovers to get into the festive feels.
“My order flips from a shaken espresso to the caramel brulee iced latte; I love the holiday drinks!” said Mrs Dixon.
While both fall and Christmas drinks are deliciously enjoyable, deciding which is better is up to you! Both sets of drinks are set to different palates and moods. Fall drinks are typically more about warmth and spice, reflecting the cozy, rustic feel of the season. In contrast, Christmas drinks are sweeter and more indulgent, capturing the festive and celebratory spirit of the holidays. So whether you’re a Pumpkin Spice Or a Peppermint Mocha, go get a drink and enjoy the season!
