Tresz Mcleod broke the all-time goal-scoring record on September 14th versus George Washington High School.
The record was previously set at 92 goals. Tresz has 108 career goals and 31 goals this season. This isn’t the only trophy on the shelf, Tresz has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments.
“I was first-team All-State freshmen, sophomore and junior year, first-team all-conference captain, ECNL U-17 National Selection Game in FL, ODP National Training Camp, West Virginia State Player Of the Year, and OVAC Player Of the Year,” said Mcleod.
Tresz put in countless hours of work to be able to accomplish this.
“You just have to have the desire to work honestly. I use a weight that’s 10 pounds and I do moves and quick stuff around cones to get quicker,” said Tresz.
Being a great teammate is one of the most important qualities that allows you to be successful.
“Tresz is a great teammate because he’s always doing what’s best for the team. He never puts himself first and is very selfless. He is very humble even with the achievements he has,” said teammate, Sam Rocky.
Tresz plans on playing soccer at the collegiate level, but remains undecided as of now. Tresz gives some advice for younger players.
“Always believe you’re the best no matter what. Just know that you belong and that you can make it happen someday. The sky is the limit for anyone. You just have to work on your game and want to be the best, “ said Mcleod.
