Destiny Delaney is a standout senior in the Park Press. She has made great contributions to the publication throughout her first year as a staff member. 

As Destiny approaches graduation, she is preparing for her next big journey in life, college. She is attending WVU and majoring in psychology and plans to minor in forensic science,

“I am excited for a new start in college. The crime scene training complex definitely got me interested in WVU. I am rooming with Jayma Hunt too so that will be fun,” said Delaney. 

Her decision to major in psychology is no doubt influenced by one of Destiny’s favorite teachers at Wheeling Park,  Mr. Cirilli. Cirilli enjoyed being able to have the opportunity of being her teacher for AP psychology.

“Destiny was a fantastic student, she really loved the content of the class and was always very attentive and interested,” said Mr. Cirilli.

Destiny has participated in Key Club, Green Club, and REAP counselor throughout her years at Park. This is Destiny’s first semester in the Park Press. “This class has definitely helped me learn about different styles of writing,” said Delaney.
