Though they met Freshman year and didn’t show romantic interest within one another until late Sophomore year, Landen Smeltz and Ciera Faulstick won the cutest couple for this year’s Junior class!
“We had speech class together and he was just one of my really good friends. One day we were just talking and I was like wait.. this is weird I feel like I kind of like him” said Ciera.
The couple have been together for over 10 months now, with their one year anniversary being in March.
“We met through a mutual friend at an after school band practice, and then at that band practice, her and I were the last one’s to leave” said Landen when I asked how they first met.
Landen and Ciera are perfectly compatible with one another, and they even share the same interests.
“I joined concert band because of him, and he joined choir because of me” said Ciera.
Not to mention, they both are team members on the Wheeling Park High School Speech and Debate Team.
When asked how they keep their relationship on a professional level from being involved in so many extracurricular activities together, though interviewed separately, Landen and Ciera shared the same response.
“We just kinda act like friends. I mean, we are best friends, but we just keep the dating part aside for speech practices and all that stuff” said Landen.
“We just keep it to ‘we’re just friends’ ” said Ciera.
Landen and Ciera are simply the cutest example of friends to lovers. The invisible string theory is very real, and this couple proves it for a fact.
“I fell in love with my best friend, he’s just the best” said Ciera.
There is no denying that Ciera and Landen are the cutest Junior class couple.
