October is a busy month filled with Oktoberfest, birthdays, and Halloween. But beyond the celebrations, many students overlook the exciting opportunities at the Capitol Theatre.
The first group of students who can benefit from an upcoming event in the Capitol Theatre are Culinary students. The event in which they can benefit is the Masterchef All-stars Live!, where they get to experience epic battles, edge-of-the-seat challenges, and amazing culinary creations. This event will be happening this October 9th at 7:00.
Our very own Culinary teacher, Mrs. Hillberry, was sharing her thoughts on the event, and she said, “ I think for anybody to be able to go to that would be awesome, particularly our culinary students, to go see some other avenues of what they can do in the future would be pretty cool“.
The last group of students who can benefit from an upcoming event in the Capitol Theatre are the Theatre students. The event in which they can benefit is The Vampire Circus, which has been called a mix of circus, cabaret, and theater; it is also known as a fusion of Tim Burton and Cirque Du Soleil. The event will happen on October 10th at 8:00.
Dr. Romick, who teaches here at Park alongside being involved in theatre, said, “I think it would be amazing to watch because we don’t get a lot of live theater outside of Towngate and in the school area“.
Overall, the Capitol Theatre provides incredible opportunities for students of all interests, whether it’s exploring culinary creativity or gaining inspiration from live performance. Events like Masterchef All-stars Live! And The Vampire Circus not only entertains but also gives students the chance to learn, grow, and think about their own futures in new ways. Taking advantage of these experiences can help students broaden their skills, spark new passions, and remind us all of the value that arts and live events bring to our community.
