The first time I met Elle Terek was at the Rose Bowl Lanes in 2014. Our parents were in a bowling league together, leaving us with just each other every Sunday night. After my parents left the league, I lost touch with Elle, always wondering what had happened to her. This year, in February, I realized the girl in my seventh period was the same Elle from the bowling lanes all those years ago.
Wheeling Park High School’s class of 2025 is full of many incredible seniors, and one of these fantastic young adults is Elle Terek. Elle is an active community member, spending her free time outside school hanging out with her friends and cheering for Park’s cheer team.
Elle has been with the Park Press since its return in 2022. During her third and final year, she held the Photo and Media Manager position. She manages all the press’s pictures and social media accounts.
“My favorite memory from the press would probably be doing the Mr. Doyle TikTok,” said Terek.
Elle has always liked writing, so as a freshman, she signed up for Park’s only journalism class at the time. However, it didn’t fulfill all that she wanted in a journalism class, so when she heard there would be a more press-centered class available the following year, she immediately signed up.
“I was really excited, so I hopped on that bandwagon,” said Terek.
Outside of school, Elle has many different hobbies:

” I cheered all four years, I hang out with my friends a lot, and I like to read,” said Terek.
After graduation, Elle will attend West Virginia University, majoring in political science. She plans to continue her studies in law school and build a career in that field.
Elle offers her words of wisdom to any freshmen,
“No one is really caring that much about you, so just have fun!”
