Sheetz has been in the Wheeling area for 20 years now and has become a fan favorite place to go for gas and bite to eat. This year Sheetz is working on expanding from something back then to a modern fashion now. They have been working on the new building since February 9th 2025.
Some people are not fazed by Sheetz not being available because they don’t go there much or not at all but the rest are upset about it being closed because they don’t have a good place to go for a nice snack.
“It’s upsetting because now I cant get food late at night or meet up with my friends,” said Kendra Beaver, 11th grade.
Despite the hardships, many remind themselves that Sheetz is working on a better and brighter future.
“It’s inconvenient. Sheetz is a good place to stop for gas in the area but it’s great that they are expanding the building more,” said Mr.Leggett, assistant principal.
Sheetz may be out of order and missed on National Road but there are others.
“I most definitely miss the convenience factor of Sheetz and being able to get the app sampler and a chocolate milk, but I guess if I really wanted it I could go to the Highlands to get it,” said Coach Nick Nardone.
We are looking forward to seeing the new improvements that have been made early this summer.
