Most people would say that high school relationships don’t last, but the students at Wheeling Park disagree about Grace Tamburin and Jameson Maynard. Nothing is quite like sharing your story about being a high school sweetheart.
“We met through wrestling over the years, but mainly through high school,” said Grace.
Jameson had wrestled with Grace’s brother.
“We knew each other from middle school, but we really hit it off at the OVAC wrestling tournament my sophomore year, and the relationship bloomed from there,” said Jameson.
They started dating when Grace was a freshman and Jameson was a sophomore. The sweethearts will have been together for two years on March 12.
“My favorite date is our first date where we went to Cheddars and then to the movies,” said Grace.
These two try to spend as much time with each other as they can.
“My favorite thing to do together is go out to eat at some of our favorite places because it gives us a chance to have a good time outside of our busy schedules,” said Jameson.
Grace and Jameson plan to make it through college.
“I obviously plan to stay with him, and go down our own paths until we are both out of college,” said Grace.
“Since I will be attending college pretty far away, we will have to be long distance for a while, but I have faith that our relationship is strong enough to last through it,” said Jameson.
These two love each other very much and have lots of favorite things about each other.
“My favorite thing about her are her ability to make me laugh and her eyes,” said Jameson
“My favorite thing about him is his kindness and his positivity,” said Grace.
As much as these two love and cherish each other, it’s not even a question whether they will make it through college. They have such a bright future together and everyone at Park is rooting for them.
