Hannah White is a daughter, a sister, and is an inspiring woman to all who meet her in person or over the phone with her social media platform.

White started her platform by sharing content on TikTok. During her time at Cleveland State, she posted lip-syncing videos and clips of her life which started up her platform. White soon learned that she could build up a community and brand for herself.

“Social media has allowed me to connect with so many amazing people, collaborate with incredible brands, and experience things I never could have imagined,” said White.

Being an influencer has changed the trajectory of White’s life in more ways than she could explain. Not only did it make White more confident in herself, but it also challenged her, broke her out of her comfort zone, and gave her better communication skills. Attending major events has pushed White to grow more socially. White pushes people to step outside their comfort zone, introduce themselves, and start up conversations with strangers.

“It’s great practice for moments that can shape your career. It has also taught me discipline and creativity. It is so much more than just posting pictures; it’s about storytelling, connecting with your audience, and constantly evolving,” said White.

White is not only an influencer, but also a model. Modeling gave her experience in front of a camera, but social media allowed her to have full creative control. When White models, she posts the clothing line to promote their business. She enjoys promoting because she gets to model and post on social media all in one.

White travels with brand deals that have allowed her to connect with many people. Her agency helps her a lot with contracts and deals, but most brands reach out directly to her and they create a plan that aligns both their visions. White recently traveled to Martha’s Vineyard to promote a hotel that covered travel, food experience, and paid White to promote their hotel.

“One thing I have learned is that if you want to get deals for a certain type of content, it is important to not get discouraged because growing an audience takes a while,” said White.

Gabrielle Contraguerro, Staff Writer

Gabrielle Contraguerro is a sister, a daughter, and most importantly a singer. Gabrielle has been singing for four years. She was a member of St. Michael's Schola for two years and a member of Wheeling Park concert choir. Musical theater has been a big part of her life. She was casted as the role of Deloris in Sister Act, Maui in Moana, and Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors. She started her singing career when she was in middle school and is planning to continue after high school. Besides singing, Gabrielle is an Allstar Cheerleader. She has been cheering since she was a little girl. Singing is her number one passion, but cheering comes as a close second. Gabrielle has done a plethora of singing events. In March 2021, she was asked to sing at the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. She sang the National Anthem. The following year, she was asked to sing at the wrestling OVAC. That is when everything started to go well for her. Musical Theater has been encouraged by her friends, family, and teachers. Gabrielle did her first play in the fifth grade and hasn’t stopped since. Her favorite show she has been in was Little Shop of Horrors. She was awarded as the best actress two years in a row at St. Michael’s. Gabrielle is proud of the work she has put in. With balancing academics, choir, theater, and sports, she has become a better person. Singing has changed Gabrielle’s life and she couldn’t have done it without her friends and family supporting her.
