As we start the new 2024-2025 school year, many new faces have appeared in the Park classrooms. One of these being, Ms. Grube, our new orchestra teacher. After the retirement of Park legend, Mr. Podolski, the school had big shoes to fill. However, Ms. Grube saved the dayand so far many students have taken an instant liking to her.
“I’m in Orchestra 2 and I play viola. I really like Ms. Grube, she’s really enthusiastic and passionate about what she does. She is trying to get us out of our comfort zones. I mean no one can replace Mr. P but she has been a really good teacher and I’m excited for what she has in the future”, said junior Reagan Hughes.
Grube is no newbe to our halls. She worked closely with Mr. Podolski before becoming his replacement.
“I am really enjoying it at Park so far! All of the students and faculty have been so welcoming, and I’m having a lot of fun getting to know everyone. Mr. P left big shoes to fill for sure! He was a mentor of mine, I student taught with him in the spring of 2020. It’s been really nice to know that I have someone to call with my many questions! But I got the chance to see how he works with students and the care that he put into everything he did, and I hope I can carry on with the work he was doing. I’ve been involved in strings for many years, playing in orchestras all throughout high school and college. I’m going into my third year teaching strings, after spending the last two years teaching at a boarding school in New Hampshire. The new freshmen are doing great so far! They are really excited to learn and work very hard. I think we’re going to have a great year! I’m so excited for this school year! I love exploring new places and working with new students”, said Grube.
Stop by to say hi and welcome Ms. Grube! Show her what Park is all about!
