The track team competed at the AAA Regional meet on May 10th at the Mylan Park Track Facility. The athletes who finished top 3 in their event advance to the State Championship on May 17th and 18th at Laidley Field. 

                                                                       The Girls team qualifiers:

1st place:

100 meter hurdles with a 15.76, K’Lyn Neider

100 meter dash with a 12.30, Kaylee Davis 

4×200 meter relay with a 1:48, K’Lyn Neider, Jean Schnacke, Jillian Huffman, and Kaylee Davis

2nd place:

200 meter dash with a 26.91, Kaylee Davis

Shuttle hurdle with a 1:07, K’Lyn Neider, Molly Brinker, Ra’myah Askerneese, and Lily Hanna

3rd place:

High jump with a 4-10.00, Jillian Huffman

Dicuss Throw with a 97-10, Riley Perry

300 meter hurdles with a 48.75, Lily Hanna

4×100 meter relay with a 52.18, Lily Hanna, Jillian Huffman, Hailey Hastings, Kaylee Davis

Jillian Huffman qualified to compete in three events and is excited to see how her team finishes.

“I’m super excited to go down and compete in my different events with all the girls on the team,” said Huffman, “and to watch everyone else in their events!”

                                                                       The Boys team qualifiers:

1st place:

Pole vault with a 11-06.00, Adam Carman

4×200 meter relay with a 1:33, Brennan Wack, Luke Dunaway, Mykel Davis, and Owen Dobrzynski Hines

4×100 meter relay with a 44.27, Brennan Wack, Trent Simon, Mykel Davis, and Owen Dobrzynski Hines

2nd place:

Pole vault with a 11-00.00, Jacob Carman

200 meter dash with a 23.21, Owen Dobrzynski Hines

3rd place:

High jump with a 6-02.00, Mykel Davis 

Mykel Davis is looking forward to competing at states in three events.

 “Track and field is where you compete against yourself to bring out your best,” said Davis, “I’m looking forward to states and I think the team will do great and surprise lots of people.”
