Aidan Forget is a standout senior and has been a great addition to the Park Press staff, focusing his talents in the sports section. Joining only this year, his natural writing ability, social personality, and overall sports knowledge is prevalent in his detailed articles and friendly interviews. Throughout his life, Aidan has played soccer, tennis, and football, and he plans to continue his passion for athletics in college by majoring in Sports Exercise Psychology at WVU.
Forget was a kicker/punter for the football team for all four years of high school and lettered for three years.
“My favorite memory this year was senior night for football because we got rewarded for all the hard work put in over the last four years of playing,” said Forget.
Forget shines not only in athletics, but he is also an exemplary student academically. He is on the high honor roll, is a senior class representative, and challenges himself with CP and AP courses, even scoring a 5 on the AP Human Geography test his junior year.
History of the Holocaust and AP Human Geography teacher, Mr. Galik, gave Forget very high praise. “Aidan consistently put his best foot forward. He cared deeply about the material, not so much the grade like everyone,” said Galik.
Forget also provided some advice for next year’s freshmen: “Do the work, show up, and really get involved.”
