About the Contributors

Will Medovic, Director of Communication
Will Medovic is a senior at Wheeling Park High School. He has been a member of The Park Press since its revamp in 2022. Throughout his time on the press, he has served as Social Media Manager during both his sophomore and junior years. This year, he is proud to be the Director of Communications. Will will also be a Career and Technical Education completer in Social Journalism this year.
Outside the press, Will is a member of Wheeling Park’s broadcasting technology program, serving as executive producer. He is also a Career and Technical Education completer in Broadcast Journalism. Will is also the secretary of the Wheeling Park Speech and Debate team. Throughout his years on the speech and debate team, Will has competed in Duo, Declamation, Impromptu, Broadcasting, POI, and Poetry. Will serves as the president of Wheeling Park High School’s chapter of the Quill and Scroll Society–the National Honor Society for journalism students. He is also a member of the Radio and TV Club. Will is also a member of the National Honor Society.
Outside of Wheeling Park High School, Will can typically be found out and about with his friends, spending time with his family, or playing with his cat, Anakin. Will is also a part-time employee at The UPS Store. He truly cannot wait for what senior year brings!

JoceLynn McFarland, Director of Design
JoceLynn is the Director of Design for the Park Press, and this is her third year working for the press as a senior.
JoceLynn enjoys stories about her favorite things such as books and films. She also likes writing deeper topics about mental health because she believes these topics are important and deserve to be talked about. Outside of the Park Press, JoceLynn is a decade-long Swiftie and an avid book reader. Her favorite albums are 1989, Reputation, and Evermore. Her favorite books to recommend are “Better Than the Movies” by Lynn Painter and “The Shatter Me” series by Tahereh Mafi. The lyric “And if you never bleed, you’re never gonna grow,” from the song “the 1” from Folklore, is her favorite.
