Park Girls State Champions

Park+Girls+State+Champions

Capping it all off with a 65-51 win over Morgantown in the State AAAA Final, Park girls finished their season with a record of 24-4, winning 13 of their last 14 games. The disappointment of the finish to last season turned into determination quickly as the girls finished a well-fought season of excellence bringing home the state championship.

Alexis Bordas was the MVP of the state tournament with an overall 88 points which set a record for AAAA.

“The personal stuff is great but it wouldn’t have meant anything if we hadn’t won. That was the most important thing,” said Bordas.

Bordas isn’t taking any breaks. She is now turning her focus to AAU basketball and deciding where she will attend college. That isn’t all Bordas has set her sights on.

“I am also focusing on next year and hopefully repeating the state championship,” said Bordas.
