Let’s dig into the knitting of the bitties! Mrs. Bunch is the knitty bitty club’s faculty adviser which currently has about 25 members in all.

“It’s a relaxed setting where students just socialize and teach each other to knit/crochet,” said Bunch. “They help each other and watch YouTube videos to do the very basics of knitting.”

In the future, she hopes they can create more items and continue to grow the club.

“We would love to be able to eventually compose a blanket for either employees who have just welcomed a baby or for the freeze shelter,” Mrs. Bunch explains.

“They’ve just made chains as beginners and a few have made little squares, it’s a more relaxing and social experience facilitated by the students,” said Mrs. Bunch. “I agreed to let them have the club here when I had a few students last year that would sit and crochet during lectures and I suggested they start a club.”

This is the second year of their club, and they are a welcoming crew. No matter your skill level, stop by room 313 for week one clubs.
