Seasons change, leaves fall, the temperature drops, and everyone starts getting ready for the -ber months ahead. Many people consider fall as the best time of year. With three holidays in the next three months, it is a time of family and tradition. Here at Wheeling Park, whether Thanksgiving specific or fall-centered, many students have unique traditions for this time of year.
“My family and I go to my grandma’s house for thanksgiving every year,” said senior Mackenzie Miller.
“We watch the football game every Thanksgiving,” said sophomore Brooks Wharry.
“I carve pumpkins with my family every year,” said sophomore Abigail Thomas.
“I help my family decorate for halloween,” said senior Molly George.
“I always watch The Nightmare Before Christmas three days before Halloween,” said senior Mallory Parks.
“My grandma cooks up to fifteen turkeys every thanksgiving,” said junior Grace Frangos. “We eat turkey all the way up to Christmas.
“We go to my great grandma’s house for thanksgiving,” said freshman Kaleb Pell.
“My dad always makes us cranberry sauce,” said junior Ava Harris. “It’s really good. It’s homemade.”
“Me and my father like to carve pumpkins together,” said sophomore Conner Skaraot.
“I usually go to pumpkin patches and things like that,” said freshman Ava Namack.
“We go to my aunts for thanksgiving and I help cook some Greek food for my family, ” said junior Hanna Heusal.
“I go up to the truck stop at the highlands and eat something,” said freshman Skylar Mikels.
