The color guard is an important part of the band. They provide the visual aspect of the band shows during the marching season.
There are pros and cons of being on any team, even color guard,

“The friendships we made, cons are long competition days,” said junior, Emma Robbins.
The Patriot Revolution often has after school practices. They practice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and on Fridays to make sure they are prepared for games, competitions, and any other performances they may have. Before school started, the Patriot Revolution was out on the field for 2 weeks in August. Their practices were 8 hours long during that time. Over the summer, they also practiced marching during their “academy” practices.
Majorette coach Kristen Breen has been twirling for most of her life. She has coached the majorettes of the Patriot Revolution for six years.
“We have an exciting field show this year called Love Notes which the Patriot Revolution helps to bring to life with their use of flags, ribbons, batons, swords and more,” said Breen.
This season, the band will be competing in 3 competitions. They have also recently won 1st place in their division at the Penn-Trafford competition,
“I’m excited to see the band continue to improve and for the Patriot Revolution to showcase their tricks and talents at the upcoming competitions,” said Breen.
Sophomore Allison Parks has been on the team for 2 years now,
“Color guard is really fun because we get to go to football games, hang out with a bunch of people, and the community is really great,” said Parks.
