New school years can be stressful- especially when initially becoming a member of the Park family. This year, one of the many new staff members Park has welcomed is Ms. Kylie Blake, main office secretary.
Despite the struggles of turning a new leaf- especially in a building as big as WPHS- Ms. Blake has adjusted beyond well, already making positive impacts on the day-to-day life of students and teachers alike.
“It has been a big change. There are a lot of people, and it’s a big place, but everyone’s so friendly and welcoming,” said Blake.
Ms. Dottie Boyd, former main office secretary, retired following the 2024-2025 school year after 35 years at WPHS. Her impact is lasting, and it is clear that Blake is already continuing the tradition of diligence, courtesy, and optimism.
“Ms. Blake has been a great addition to Wheeling Park High School. As we all know, she had big shoes to fill when Ms. Boyd retired, but she…interacts with the students great, the students love her, she loves the energy of the school, and we’re happy to have her here,” said Ms. Tammy Palmer, fellow main office secretary.
When it comes to personability, Blake is beyond qualified. Without fail, all who enter the main office will immediately be greeted with a smile and kind greeting.
“I’m really enjoying it so far…I like people, and I like building relationships with people,” said Blake.
It is clear that Blake is already a perfect fit for the Patriot family. When stopping in the main office, be sure to welcome Ms. Blake to The Park!
