Amy Yahn kicks off the football game.
Amy Yahn is the 2025 marching season field commander–leading the band on the field and throughout the competition season.
Amy Yahn is a senior at Wheeling Park High School, and is a very active student throughout the community as well. Amy had auditioned to be a field commander before school ended in May, and continued her journey throughout the summer at band camp. Leading up to this year, Yahn has many fans. Her peers have continuously applauded her for her ongoing achievements. Yahn is a part of many extracurricular activities involving music, some such as steel band, marching band, and concert band.

“I enjoy taking part in the extracurricular activities that Park has to offer to expand my horizons,” said Yahn.
As she steps into her new role, Amy is determined to bring her unique vision to the field. She believes that leadership is not just about giving orders but inspiring fellow band members to reach their full potential.
“Every member plays a huge role in our success,” Yahn said.
Collaboration is what makes the band so successful and the dedication of band members.
¨Amy has strived and pushed herself since freshman year for this position, and she deserves every moment,” said Mr. Birch, the Wheeling Park band director.
Amy also seeks to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and heard. Her goal is to ensure that each student has the opportunity to shine, regardless of their experience level.
Outside of the band, she is passionate about mentoring younger students, offering them guidance as they navigate their own journeys in music. With her enthusiasm and dedication, Yahn is poised to make this marching season one to remember.
